A very convivial group assembled at Redbridge for the ride across the Forest. It was as near a perfect day as could be imagined with plenty of sun but just enough coolness. The route took us out through Tatchbury Mount and then the climb up to Fritham. There was no head wind across Stoney Cross. The route down through Bolderwood and The Ornamental Drive was superb in the spring sunshine. It was a day for clubs with pristine 1980s Triumphs sweeping past us with burbling V8s followed by veteran motorcycles. A real ‘Life on Mars’ moment. Coffee at Brockenhurst was follwed by lanes down to the coast and great views across to the Isle of Wight. The route home took us through Lymington and an alternative coastal route back.
Thank you very much to Jim for such a well researched day and for organizing such a large group so well. Thanks also to everyone for your company.
