The second edition of this event took place on Sunday 21 May, it was well attended with more than 100 participants over the two distances.

As last year the event was well organised, a road closure in Awbridge meant a slight alteration to the route was necessary but this didn’t cause any problems.

The route, aided by the sunny weather showed Hampshire at its best, with rolling countryside, thatched cottages and quite country lanes and this was remarked upon by several riders from outside the county. Some of the views from the highest points are beautiful and make it well worth the effort to climb those hills.

All of the participants made it back to the village hall by the cut off time, the fastest of the 200km riders taking just over eight hours and the 100km just over four hours. The refreshment stops on the route and at the end were very welcome and provided the opportunity to refuel before the next stage of the journey. The organisation, the route, the sunshine and refreshments all combined to make a thoroughly enjoyable day.
