A very cheery bunch met at Chilworth for the half day ride.It was almost warm. A number realizing that their third layer was just one too many. There was plenty for two groups and thanks to Marcus for leading off the first. A blustery wind headed us most of the way with just a suggestion of rain from the grey sky. Reeves coped well with the numbers though there was some disappointment that the second group had just missed cooked breakfast which finishes at 11.00am. The bacon sandwiches looked good.
The return was quick with a following wind. It was good to get out and get some miles into the legs and also realize that cold, wet and numb feet and hands are not a premanent feature of winter riding.
Well done to all those who made it to Salisbury for the first time I hope that you enjoyed the day. It was also great to welcome Patrick back, a long standing member of the club who now lives in France, who has lost none of his cycling prowess. Thanks to Marcus for leading and thanks to everyone for your company today.
