image2 (2)The week showed the variation that the British weather throws up. A cold
frosty start to Paul’s ride on Wednesday resulted in the wise decision
to cancel. However we did not miss the opportunity to have a coffee and
this was enjoyed at Cedar Nurseries. A big thank you to Paul J. for a
very well led first ride to Lepe on Friday. A cold dull overcast day The new cafe
is a great improvement and I am sure will be a huge draw in the summer.
The staff said that seals had been seen just off the beach recently.
Thank you to Joanne for Saturday. Another cold day but this time with
some of the wet stuff to take the edge off things . Gilbert’s Cafe were
pleased to see us and those who had lunch enjoyed some good food.Sunday saw another good turn out with 3 groups required. A cold blustery
morning still with significant wind  Thank you to Kathy for organising
the group that took in Alresford and Droxford. The Curry Pub looked after
you well.

Thank you to Chris D for leading us to Lasham not before
having to negotiate a fallen tree that had completely blocked the road.
Luckily someone in a venerable old Land Rover was able to help, possibly
with some affect on his clutch plate. Thank you very much to him. The
Gliding Club are very well organised and you do not need to book. The
return took it out on a few of us with what felt like gale force winds
after the Milburys. It kept dry though so that was a small mercy. 5000ft
and over 70 milesThanks to everyone who put them selves ‘out there’ this week.
